Welcome to the Kootenay & Boundary Regional Book Club!

‘One Book One Kootenay 2009’ Regional Book Club Wraps Up

On October 22nd, Grand Forks Library hosted the final community event for “The Bone Cage” author, Angie Abdou.  During the past 8 weeks Angie visited 14 communities in the region and made 15 presentations.  It has been fun with lots of laughter and many good discussions about athletic endeavours and the pursuit of the Olympic dream.

The   organizing committee extends a warm ‘thank you’ to Angie for being such a trooper.  There were several days on the road for her and her family.

The committee also thanks to participants who attended readings and workshops and those who contributed to the online discussion.  The active involvement of all the participants helped make this project a success.  The writing contributions from the students were a special bonus to the program.

“The Bone Cage” continues to be available in most libraries in the region.  This website will stay active for several more weeks and you can continue to post your comments and writing to the discussion board.

Check back here in September 2010 for information about the next One Book One Kootenay project.
